At the Noah's Ark Day Nursery we take all aspects of safeguarding very seriously. All the Team have 'enhanced' CRB clearance (Criminal Records Bureau) and are suitably qualified to work with children.
To ensure that photographs are not taken of children without parental/carers prior permission, we operate a strict no mobile phone Policy on site. Parents are therefore requested to refrain from using their phone in Nursery in accordance with our Policy.
In accordance with Ofsted the Noah's Ark Day Nursery is requested, as are all the day carers in the area, to issue each parent/guardian with a statement regarding the safeguarding of children, and this information is provided below.
Day carers and safeguarding children
As a day carer registered with Ofsted, the Noah's Ark Day Nursery is required to follow the Safeguarding Children Procedures agreed through the Wiltshire Local Safeguarding Children Board.
As a provider involved in the care of your child, we will try at all times to share with you any concerns I may have. However, I do have a duty to refer to Social Services if I suspect that child abuse may be an issue.
My first concern will always be the welfare of your child. I have a copy of the Safeguarding Children in Wiltshire Procedures and Guidance document for you to see if you wish.
A Police and Education Early Intervention Safeguarding Partnership
Noah's Ark Day Nursery is supporting a new multi agency project- ENCOMPASS -which helps to safeguard/support children and young people affected by Domestic Abuse.
If you would like any addiotional information reguarding this, please do not hesitate to contact our Key Adult for this initiative- Claire Robinson.
